I bought this camera over a year ago and have not been disapointed. It takes nice pictures and has many useful and simple-to-use built-in shooting modes. I especially like the "night landscape" mode for night-time shots (though you really need a tripod or a way to stay REALLY steady). For a 6x optical zoom lens, you won't find a much thinner design without paying a lot more. And the 6x really beats the typical 3x that similarly priced cameras have. One negative is that the video clip mode does NOT record sound. I don't really use the camera to record much video, but on trips it would be nice to be able to include sound when you're panning an interesting location. FYI: keeping the settings down to 2-3 MP's or so (the mid-range pixel sizes available on this camera) is plenty large enough (and saves a ton on memory space) if all you plan to do is print 4x6 photos.
